Hi folks -
Thank you for visiting, and for your support in 2006. McRoberts for Iowa is now off-line, but you are welcome to visit my students' homepage for undergraduate government courses I teach at Hawkeye Community College. You have my gratitude for a year well spent. See you on the road.

: Name: Pete; Location: Independence, Iowa, US

Pete McRoberts was born and raised in northeastern Iowa, and came home after finishing school to work in politics and as a college instructor. He enjoys greatly the chance to work with young people and to be with them, as they open doors to our government. Pete's career started as a member of the national AmeriCorps, and after coming back home to Iowa, he stayed involved in civics and the political world. In the year 2005, Governor Tom Vilsack appointed Pete to serve on the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, and in 2006, he was named to the agency's executive board. Pete McRoberts works closely with Independence's local early childhood education center, the community mentoring program, and he is active the annual food basket program. In 2006, Pete was the Democratic nominee for the Iowa House of Representatives in what would end up as a very close election. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family and in outdoor activities. Pete lives in Independence, Iowa.
